This 7 minute video titled “Polysubstance Use: The Norm Not The Exception” from a clinician at Boston Medical Center’s Grayken Center for Addiction explains that health care providers are likely to encounter poly-substance use in their patients and describes how and why patients might use multiple substances. Clinicians are advised to discuss polysubstance use with patients as understanding the reasons for multiple substance use can guide an individualized treatment plan.
