This 7 minute video titled “Educating Clients on Safer Injection Practices” from a clinician at Boston Medical Center’s Grayken Center for Addiction describes the need for educating patients about safe injection practices including the importance of using sterile water, not sharing instruments used in preparing or injecting substances, and avoiding riskier injection sites. The video emphasizes the need for clinicians to be comfortable talking about their patient’s injection drug practices in order to provide guidance on safer injection practices.

This is the seventh video in a new series launched by Boston Medical Center’s OBAT Training and Technical Assistance Team, aimed at providing clinical care teams with education on topical issues in the field of addiction treatment.
