New Hampshire’s Strength Over Stigma (SOS) Recovery Community Organization is one of the non-profit entities in New Hampshire given state grant funding to help businesses create recovery friendly workplace programs. SOS provides businesses with Recovery Friendly Advisors who review company policies, provide employee education and training on evidence-based practices to reduce substance misuse in the workplace, and help create work environments that are conducive to helping individuals in addiction and mental health recovery sustain and re-enter the workforce. The website provides description of the program and may serve as a model for other state and community initiatives.
