The National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD) prepared this timeline of the State Targeted Response (STR) and State Opioid Response (SOR) grants authorized by Congress and managed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. These grants are made available to state alcohol and drug agencies to address the opioid crisis in their states. NASADAD also prepared summaries of how all 50 states have used their STR and SOR grant funds as of September 2019.
