San Francisco Methamphetamine Task Force – Final Report

This report captures findings and considerations from the 2019 San Francisco Methamphetamine Task Force. The task force held focus groups and convened 4 meetings of diverse stakeholders to develop this report,which offers 17 recommendations to decrease the health risks of methamphetamine use, identifies best practices in treatment and services for people who use methamphetamine, and reduces negative medical and social impacts from use of the drug. The report also includes appendices that look at methamphetamine usage and trends in San Francisco, provide an overview of treatments and intervention programs, and briefly summarize efforts of other organizations and governments to address methamphetamine use in their communities.
