This 2013 report includes an analysis of 67 journal articles on the concept of resiliency and its relationship to substance use disorders and behavioral health conditions. A brief summary of all 67 articles is also included. Much of the resiliency literature focuses on children and youth and how developing the characteristics of resiliency can be a protective factor lowering the risks of developing a substance use disorder.
