Minnesota’s Plan for the Prevention, Treatment and Recovery of Addiction

Since 2013, Minnesota has been in process of changing the state’s approach to substance use disorder treatment from an episodic model of treatment to a chronic disease longitudinal systems of care model. This 2018 report builds upon previous recommendations with a focus on workforce development, person centered-care, access to withdrawal management and enhanced care for persons receiving medication assisted treatment and treatment for problem gambling.
