HB 4014 Clinical Guidelines Work Group: Guidelines for Attending Physicians When Recommending the Medical Use of Marijuana

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) published these 2016 guidelines for physicians recommending medical use of marijuana. Oregon has had medical cannabis use since 1988 and qualifying conditions for cannabis treatment include severe pain and post traumatic stress disorder. Severe pain the is the most common qualifying condition. The guidelines also advise physicians to consider contraindications to prescribing both medical cannabis and opioids.
