This 2015 report from Transforming Youth Recovery looks at alcohol and drug prevention programs for K-12 students in the United States. The first section of the report describes the historical experience of drug prevention efforts in educational settings in the U.S. The second section identifies evidence-based prevention programs from well known national registries, reviews program evaluations of these programs, and applies criteria to create a list of 17 “best-in-class” alcohol and other drug prevention programs.
